OncoSpherix is pleased to announce that Dr. Binghe Wang has been elected as a fellow at the National Academy of Inventors. Dr. Wang is a renowned synthetic medicinal chemist with expertise in drug design, delivery, and molecular recognition. He is a founding scientist of OncoSpherix, having created both lead and follow-on compounds that inhibit HIF transcription factors.
Dr. Wang serves as Regents’ Professor of Chemistry at Georgia State University and is Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar in Drug Discovery. He served as Associate Dean for Natural and Computational Sciences at Georgia State University from 2014-2018 and was chairman of the Department of Chemistry prior to that. He served as Editor-in-Chief for Medicinal Research Reviews from 2001-2019. He is the founding serial editor of the “Wiley Series in Drug Discovery and Development.”
The National Academy of Inventors is a member organization comprising U.S. and international universities, as well as governmental and non-profit research institutes. Election to NAI Fellow status is the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors.
